I've been wanting to make new yogi/yoga pose greeting cards forever. I have a blast making them and I think they're such a fun addition to my shop (and to the boutiques at the studios where I teach!), so I was thrilled to finally find the time to create some new ones last week :) This time around, I've added 3 new designs, all of which are available as singles and 8-packs in my Etsy shop:
And the best part of making these new cards? I was able to use my new Sprout by HP to make them--and I learned that making cards is now WAY easier with this workstation! Here's how I made them: First, I hand drew my yogis/designs on paper. Then I placed my designs on my Sprout and pressed the "capture" button, which scanned the images and saved them to my computer. Once I had all my files in the computer, I used my stylus and touchpad to write the text for each card directly onto the digital version of the card (SO much easier than trying to "hand-write" in Photoshop with my mouse! Bleh!). Once I had each design paired with the appropriate caption, I added color. And then I had my digital file (below), which I simply sized to 5" x 7" and sent off to my printer! I picked up proofs of the cards on Friday (example is below) and I'll go pick up the final cards tomorrow... Fun, right?!? I love designing greeting cards, and hope to be making lots more of them now that I have my new Sprout. Head on over to my Etsy shop to buy individual cards, mixed packs (you choose ANY 8 yoga pose greeting cards for $30), and more... This post is sponsored by HP. Thanks for supporting my sponsors, bloggies, and thanks for making this post possible, HP!
