My trip to DC is coming to a close (I head back today) and wow, I've done so much and felt so many emotions over the past 4 days that I don't event know what to say (except for what I said the last time that I visited DC, which definitely still applies to this trip).
This visit has been wonderful, but I cannot even begin to formulate cohesive sentences about everything that has come up for me as I visited my old life and friends and taught at Tranquil Space--so as I ruminate, I wanted to share just a few quick sentences about the trip with you... [Perhaps a new column for summarizing big events/trips that I cannot quite wrap my head around quite yet? We shall see.] Wishing I could...transport all of my friends and students and favorite parts of the DC community to Cape Cod. What a dream that would be! Pondering...the crazy big shift between city energy and small town/country/non-city energy. It is a HUGE difference that you forget about until you're back in the city and it hits you. I do miss it. Still laughing about...Saturday night when I was walking down the street with a friend and we passed a couple making out on a bench and she started making kissing noises at them. Couldn't figure out if she was acting like a 3rd grader or an old lady, but it was awesome. Smiling because...my friends have some of the cutest kids in the world. OMG. Thankful for...all of the big hugs, the big smiles, and the conversations that lasted longer than a catch-up phone call. It was *SO* great to see all of you! Thank you for making this trip such a memorable one. Until next time...
