As you know, I've spent the last few months painting away, trying to get all of these special orders completed in time for winter birthdays, events, and Christmas, so it's wonderful to finally be able to post images of what I've been working on. It was hard keeping everything secret for so long!
There are a few more recent paintings that still haven't been gifted to their recipients yet, so I'll share those as soon as they've been opened, but until then, these 10 paintings should tide us over ;)
I've included a little note about each commission below the image, as I think it's always nice to know the story behind the painting...
[Cat painting above: A gift from a son & daughter to their mother. This was their family cat, Dandelion, who passed away earlier this year :( The items in the image were some of her favorite toys/things to play with. Oil on canvas.]
Left: Gift from a mother to her young daughter, who is a gymnast and recently got first place on beam in a competition! Her daughter's favorite colors are also pink and purple, in case you couldn't tell ;) Mixed media on panel.
Above: Gift from a wife to her husband. It's his college band's logo and will go in his new "man cave" in their home. Acrylic on canvas.
This is why I love painting commissions--every one is different, every painting has a unique story, and they're so personal, so meaningful, so special.
Thank you to all of you out there who have recently commissioned a painting! I hope these works of art bring you/your loved one(s) joy for many years to come...
